Cancellation/Guarantees/Gift certificate/Refund policies

 

Note: for all cruises below except charter trips, it is our practice to take your credit card to hold your reservation but no charge will be made until you come to our ticket office to get your boarding pass for your cruise. 

Specialty – 1-time cruises

 

Reservations must be cancelled at least 72 hours in advance of trip for no charges to occur
* 72 hours – 24 hours in advance is $10 per person charge
* less than 24 hours in advance is full ticket price charge.

Charters

Charter cruises require a $500 deposit at the time of reservation.

*Deposit is fully refundable up to one week before the date of sail. 

*Deposit is forfeited if cancelled less than one week before date of sail

*Cancellations made less than 24 hours before sail will be charged 50% of the full quoted price as catering and crew must still be compensated.

 

Birding Trips

Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of trip for no charges to occur  

* less than 24 hours in advance is $10 charge.

 

Whale Guarantees

Reservations must be cancelled at least 72 hours in advance of trip for no charges to occur

* 72 hours – 24 hours in advance is $10 per person charge

* less than 24 hours in advance is full ticket price charge.

Dinner Cruise

Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of trip for no charges to occur

* less than 24 hours in advance is $20 charge for catering fees.

Isle of Shoals

Reservations for this cruise must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance – late cancellations will be charged $10 per ticket. 

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates are available for all of our trips.

Gift certificates purchased at a discount through a promotional special either through Newburyport Whale Watch or one of our media partners are good only for the season of purchase (ie: 2009). 

Gift certificates purchased at full value are good for seven years as mandated by Massachusetts’s Consumer Law.

Only one gift certificate, promotional special or discount is allowed per person per sail.  Multiple offers may not be combined.

Gift certificates are non-refundable!
